Laniakea is a vista into a sonic landscape that blurs the lines between sleep and wakefulness, exploring the duality of dreamlike wonder and wistful melancholy inherent in the human condition. Founded by guitarists Michael Ruggiero and Ross Au, this collaboration is a memoir of their profound lived experiences inspired by a longing desire to rekindle with the natural world. Laniakea draws inspiration from: the odd time signatures of math-rock, the aggressiveness of modern prog and the textural complexity of ambient post-rock. The band will be releasing their first full length album in 2027.
